Jack Bloom California 1950s Deadstock Gray Jacket with Rabbit Fur Trim & Off-Center Closures. 90% Worsted Wool; 10% Silk body with Dyed Rabbit Fur trim from Italy

An exquisitely shaped & detailed jacket from the 1950's-1960's by Jack Bloom California.  Vintage deadstock, never worn, tags still attached.  From the inner label, we know this jacket was union made in the USA, and from the tags still attached we can see that the dyed rabbit fur came from Italy. 

This jacket was well-cared for, however, being that its fabric is comprised of wool and silk, it shows a bit of moth damage.  The jacket has been quarantined and protected against further damage, but priced accordingly and sold as is.  See photos for details.  

The intact department store tag shows that the original retail price of this jacket (or perhaps a set) was $136. If we assume that price was in 1960 money, and we adjust for inflation, a designer jacket of this caliber and materials might be worth $1,373 today.
