Phat Farm Army Green Puffer Coat Down Filled Parka with Detachable Coyote Fur Hood Trim

Wow, this coat is a BEAST.  So many details, it’s not just a functional winter coat, it’s a veritable TOOL against the cold.  So comfy, filled with genuine down and features Phat Farm’s proprietary Climatec – as the label says, “designed to provide optimal elemental protection without sacrificing comfort for the wearer” – it’s both breathable and warm.  

Let’s move on to the closures – we got a cinchable waist with logo toggles, elastic band with velcro closures, main zipper and buttons.  That zipper goes all the way up over the mouth, and when you’ve got that coyote fur trim snapped & zipped into the hood, it’s gonna surround your eyes and keep cold air off the rest of your face.  The hood shape & size is fully customizable with drawstrings, more logo toggles, a strap & adjustable slider.

POCKETS?!  Oh my golly.  This coat has a million – but let’s be precise and try to count.  You got one zippered chest and two velcro hip pockets inside.  Then close it up and you got a hidden zippered pocket between the button flap and the zipper.  Two large welt chest pockets, then two huge button-able cargo pockets that double with a side-entry hand pocket without closures.  Move onto the left sleeve and you got another zippered pocket, plus some pen-shaped pockets.  I think that’s all?!

Logos & hardware galore – an embroidered “Phat Farm” in cursive orange at the chest, a flag emblem side tab & hood patch, a hook below the right chest welt pocket, a riveted sleeve pocket zipper pull, a “PHAT FARM” embroidered back neck band for carry.  Like I said, this coat is SERIOUS about not only comfort & warmth, but style.  Boss level.  Besides all that?  You can machine wash & dry this coat!  See photos for instruction label.

As this is a pre-loved item, note that there may be a bit of wear and tear, but I’d say this coat is in tremendous condition – very good, almost mint!  No signs of wear really, except I noticed a little bit of stitching coming loose, and at least one or two of the drawstrings have been pulled taut and no longer have any stretch.  The most major issue I found was that this coat was missing its logo hardware main zipper pull – I replaced that with a funky vintage one that has a star on it and says “Discover.”  So you know this coat is for exploring and being who you are in spite of anything the universe throws at you (snowballs especially!)  

Besides these few flaws, this coat is rare, in amazing condition, and still has so much life left.  It’s a vintage piece from the late ‘90s/early 2000s, and is priced accordingly with flaws noted.  LMK if you have any questions or need more photos to see if this coat is for you.
